How Anyone Can Help

Donations: Donations of money to support the farm during the re-visioning/succession process will be welcome, but NOT required…and you certainly don’t have to make a proposal to contribute to the support of the farm! All donations are final.

You may make donations via Pinwheel Farm’s PayPal account or by check made out to “Pinwheel Farm” in a separate envelope from your synopsis. There is also a locked dropbox on the front of the farmhouse. Address donations to: Pinwheel Farm Donation, P.O. Box 1561, Lawrence, KS 66044. I may not specifically acknowledge donations. Please understand that I am very busy, as well as very grateful for every bit of support that the farm receives, whether by prayer, money, or help.

Donations are not tax deductible. They will considered farm income, and will not figure into the evaluation and selection of proposals. I am not swayed by money. Those who know me, know this very well. If I were, I would just hire a real estate agent and take the highest offer.

Non-monetary donations might include meals, printer ink and paper, etc. And chocolate. Dark chocolate, 70% cacao or greater.

Volunteers: The best help you can give is to share this Request for Proposals far and wide so that it somehow reaches the right person/people to continue the work that I’ve done for the past 20 years…or enables me to continue doing this work, but with adequate collaboration and support.

There will also be a lot of work specifically related to a transition. Volunteer help will be appreciated, including help with chores or property management while I work on other things; help with background checks and other research relative to submittals; brainstorming solutions to challenges; being a sounding board; financial and legal advice relative to finalizing a succession plan; and plain ol’ moving help when everything finally comes clear!
